New Law to Protect Troops
President Bush signed a law early this week to protect troops from custody battles while they are deployed. Previously they were only protected against creditors and evictions. I am often torn on these types of subjects. I do believe that our troops should receive the best type of treatment because of how much they give to our country. However, the whole custody issue should depend on how long they are deployed. The standard 6 month deployment is different than being deployed for a few years. If a troop is gone that long, I can see why a mother would want full custody of the child. Any thoughts?
Risdahl on Blogs
While reading Chapter 2 in “The everything blogging book”, I stumbled upon this quote: “With online anonymity comes little accountibility for bloggers.” I find this interesting, because I know of a lot of people who do not reveal their identities for security reasons. With blogging, I guess that you need to take that chance to reveal a little about yourself for your peers to take you seriously. Noone is going to care what babyface5000 has to say. A real name lets others know that you are serious about what you are trying to say.
